I'm very conflicted about "The Werewolf Tycoon's Baby" because I'm honestly not sure what sort of mindset I'm supposed to read this with.
It's clearly a pastiche of the Harlequin line of romance novels. The adjective noun's noun. As such I'm fairly sure it's at least meant to be a bit tongue in cheek and I don't think I should take it too seriously. So yes, there's being dropped into the middle of the love story, after some horrible thing has happened to break up the lovebirds. There's the unspeakable misunderstanding, also known as "somehow we never actually manage to clearly communicate what the real issue is and we will torment each other and the reader until the last few pages". There's the secret baby plot, and so on.
On the other hand, I'm not sure I should simply give all the tropes free rein. It really bothered me that "Greek" is used as a descriptor of both personality and appearance. It bothered me that Melissa apparently is one of those heroines who has no friends. I was a bit perturbed at just how far Melissa and Galen managed to take the unspeakable misunderstanding because it was getting to the point where I had a hard time believing that all would be well.
That said, I loved the werewolf baby and how protective he was of his mother. I really liked Galen and how sweet he was, when I wasn't cursing him for being utterly blind. I appreciated Melissa's fortitude and her courage -- I just wanted to see her make Galen grovel more.
In conclusion, "The Werewolf Tycoon's Baby" was frustrating, but still entertaining and I would like to see more of Celia Kyle's werewolves in future books.
She thinks he's after her child, but what he really wants is… her.
For Melissa Hill, a relaxing vacation to Greece involved not only sand, but billionaire Galen Liakos as well. Their passion burned hot and bright, but when their love was threatened and their differences became painfully clear, Melissa disappeared with a hastily scribbled note.
Thank you for a wonderful vacation…
Galen Liakos is not merely a billionaire, he is the Alpha of the Liakos pack, and he is not one to be denied. Melissa is his mate, and he will have her with him once again. Non-negotiable. When he hunts her down, finding her heavily pregnant and struggling to survive, there is only one answer.
Galen will have Melissa in Greece, in his den, with his ring on her finger, and his claiming bite on her shoulder!
