The characters are always plotting and scheming in one way or another from beginning to end so there's no way you'll be able to put it down. There's quite a mix of characters, including a couple faery folk that keep the story not only interesting, but mysterious and so much fun. Amidst all the adventure, there is an ongoing sexual interest between Maggie and Finn. Every time they try to act on their mutual attraction, something keeps getting in the way. It keeps this fast-paced story fascinating with a sweet romance weaving its way into your heart. Who doesn't love a romance with a hot Scottish knight and a little time travel?
