Tara Chevrestt reminisces and romances with this sweet contemporary. Who hasn’t wondered about the one who got away and this story is a wonderful interpretation of what just might happen. We follow Kelly through a gambit of emotions and I couldn’t help but root for this strong successful woman, especially after the glimpses of the girl she’d once been. Brandon is a very credible hero full of virtues and flaws. The quickness of their reconnection is believable and the flashback sequences just add to the quick growing bond. I loved all the obstacles that he has to face. Maybe it’s the sadist in me but I enjoyed how he handles the pressure of being in the middle of two very important women in his life, women who basically hate one another. I just loved Brandon’s parents, they were fabulous characters but again nowhere near perfect. This was a wonderful story and I look forward to seeing what other characters and situations this author can come up with.
