The Accidental Vampire by Lynsay Sands delivers romance, humor and intrigue with her latest captivating novel about the vampire family Argeneau. Victor Argeneau is sent to investigate Elvi Black when a personal ad is placed for her in a newspaper advertising her as a female vampire wanting a male vampire for companionship. Victor is an enforcer of the laws that his people must abide by and Elvi appears to have unknowingly broken some major ones. Elvi is living the stereotypical life of a vampire from books and movies ever since she awoke after an accident five years ago. In a town full of people and friends that protect her, she is their beloved vampire. She didn't know there were others like her, so how was she to know that she was breaking all the rules? Victor and some of her potential beaus decide to teach her about being immortal. Victor is drawn to Elvi and the passion that burns between them, but can he find a way to keep her safe from someone whose trying to harm her and the council laws that could put an end to her newly discovered immortal life.
Lynsay Sands pens an entertaining romance that is a delight to read. Elvi's lifestyle and the devotion from the town provides some humorous moments when Victor comes into her life with the knowledge she was unintentionally denied. This story will take you from laughter to danger and then to a red hot passion in a way that Ms Sands has mastered with style. The Accidental Vampire is a great book and is sure to leave a smile on your face. I enjoyed it very much and look forward to the next novel with her Argeneau vampires.
